New version of free Avis iPhone app lets customers make real-time reservations.
Avis has launched an upgraded version of its free mobile iPhone application.
Avis Rent A Car has announced Avis 2.0 for the Apple iPhone and iPhone Touch.
The interactive tool gives Avis customers the power to make real-time car rental bookings at Avis neighbourhood and airport locations throughout the USA and Canada.
The new version is available as a free download via the iPhone online App Store from Apple.
Avis 2.0 includes an upgraded interface and new features like the ability to view, change and cancel bookings. Car renters can store profile data, like their name, contact details and rental preferences.
The new version’s ‘near me’ function works with GPS to help customers find the closest Avis location.
John Peebles, VP of online marketing for Avis Budget Group, which owns Avis Rent A Car, says thousands of copies of the first version of Avis iPhone were downloaded.
The new features and enhanced user experience were driven largely by the demand of iPhone users. Version 2.0 makes it even easier to book rentals.
Avis 2.0 for iPhone and iPhone Touch is an example of Avis Rent A Car’s ‘we try harder’ approach and is built on the company’s commitment to saving customers time.
