Car rental provider Enterprise is substantially expanding its self-service kiosk scheme at airport locations in North America.

Officials from US-based firm said on Tuesday that it would be installing new kiosks at 50 different airport rental locations at all three of its brands – Enterprise, Alamo and National Car Rental – as a result of a positive response to existing kiosks at airport outlets.

The firm said in a press release that the move will enable walk-up customers as well as those with reservations to bypass the counter. Rental patrons only need a current driver’s license and a credit card to utilise the devices, according to the release.

Vice president of airport and business development Rob Hibbard said on behalf of Enterprise Holdings, the parent firm of all three brands, that the effort would help to bring the best possible customer service to consumers and that the kiosks would provide immediacy, ease of use and extended convenience.

Customers making use of the self-service kiosks can select from several different languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and German and can also review and change rental add-ons and accessories such as GPS devices, insurance or child car seats.
