Car rental giant Budget has expanded its global operation into the Republic of Singapore.

Officials from the US-based firm said in a press release issued on Monday that the organisation had officially opened a rental outlet at Changi International Airport, marking the launch of the first-ever Budget location in the city-state.

Avis Budget Group’s president of Asia-Pacific and Latin American operations, Patric Siniscalch, said in the release that the move would expand the firm’s global footprint as the latest step in its strategic growth plan. He went on to say that the opening of Singapore’s first Budget branch would provide area residents and visitors alike with quality and value for money as well as a great way to enjoy the Singapore experience.

The Changi location features a number of high-quality vehicle models, including the new Toyota Camry, the fuel-saving Kia Picanto, the Honda Odyssey minivan as well as the Nissan X-Trail sport utility model. Rental patrons can also take advantage of a number of valuable add-ons including child safety seats and GPS navigation devices.
