German Car rental firm Sixt has launched its new franchise network in the United States.

Officials from the company said in a press release issued this week that the firm was seeking partners for it US expansion effort. The move is part of the company’s wider effort to further internationalise the brand, according to the release.

Sixt’s president for North American franchise development, Craig Olson, said in a statement that local entrepreneurs and existing car hire operators have a “tremendous opportunity” to join the brand’s network at the beginning stage of US expansion. He added that new franchisees would be able to “rapidly expand” alongside the brand as a whole.

Reports said that Sixt officials have contacted more than 100 potential franchise partners for forthcoming operations in nearly all 50 US states.

The news comes nearly more than year after Sixt launched its initial presence in the US market with the opening of a rental branch in the popular tourism state of Florida. It has since launched five new outlets in the state, including the heavily visited cities of Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
