German car rental firm Sixt has launched its first ever corporate location in the city of Liverpool.

Officials from the company said on Wednesday that the opening at Liverpool’s Albert Docks area would bring 11 new jobs to the local economy in addition to property investment worth some £100,000.

According to an official press release, the new outlet features a full array of Sixt vehicles including premium cars, family vehicles, vans and convertibles.

The Liverpool outlet marks the company’s fourth location in the north-west of England, with the other three operating in various locations around Manchester. The company now has more than 4,000 branches worldwide and has recently accelerated growth efforts in several markets including the newly-tapped United States.

Sixt UK’s managing director Paul McLoughlin said in a statement that the company was “delighted” to announce the opening of Sixt’s first-ever corporate outlet in Liverpool. He noted that the city is a “pivotal” part of the firm’s growth in the region and remains one of the UK’s main economic hubs.
