Aalborg Airport is located 4 miles northwest of Aalborg in Nørresundby. The airport is also used by the military and is the third largest in Denmark. Around 1.35 million passengers fly from Aalborg annually. The airport was refurbished in 2001 and has a new terminal building.

The airport has a duty free shop and three cafés. There is a meeting room and children’s play area. Airlines fly to domestic and international locations, often on a seasonal basis, including London, Florida, Tenerife, Egypt and Thailand.
