Car hire company Sixt has added two new high-performance Citroen models to its Spanish rental fleet.
Car hire company Sixt has added two new high-performance Citroen models to its Spanish rental fleet.
News reports said last week that the firm has official begun rolling out the Citroen DS5 and DS3 models to select locations; officials from the Germany-based firm said that both of the French racing-inspired models come fully-equipped.
Citroen’s DS models have long been favourites among auto enthusiasts and racing fans, according to an official Sixt press release. The first DS was debuted at the Paris Auto Show in 1955 and acquired more than 12,000 orders in the first day alone. Today, the DS is affectionately referred to as ‘the shark’ among many Spaniards.
Sixt’s head official for Spanish operations Estanislao de Mata said in a statement that it is important for the company to offer Citroen models because some of the brand’s vehicles are produced in Spain. He went on to add that the addition of the DS3 and DS5 would re-enforce Sixt’s high-performance line in the local car hire market.
