Hertz has opened two new branches in Dhaka’s commercial district.

Hertz Corporation has expanded its branch network in Bangladesh, with the opening of two new locations in Dhaka’s business district. The new branches are aimed at supporting demand from business and leisure travellers, and provide airport transfers, chauffeur drive hire and long-term rentals.

Hertz, the biggest provider of general use vehicle rentals in the world, is also offering customers in Bangladesh the option of inter-city transfers between the capital city of Dhaka and main city locations such as Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong. The Hertz fleet at these locations offer a choice of air-conditioned saloons, minivans, sports utility vehicles and minibuses.

The new locations in Bangladesh are in Gulshan and Malibag, both of which are in Dhaka. The downtown location, Malibag, is near the city’s central business district and top academic institutions. Gulshan is one of the city’s wealthy neighbourhoods, which is also home to the local headquarters of many multinational and local companies.

Hertz has entered a partnership arrangement with licensee Mollah Netcom to manage the Hertz brand in Bangladesh. The People’s Republic of Bangladesh occupies a strategic position next to India, China and a range of Southeast Asian markets.

With the opening of the two latest branches in Dhaka, Hertz’s Asia network now covers some 1,300 locations spread across 13 countries. Mollah Netcom is a unit of the Mollah Group, which also operates Bangladesh’s first international freight carrier, Bismillah Airlines.
