Budget Car Rental has announced that it is enhancing its rewards scheme aimed at small businesses in the United States.

Budget Car Rental has announced that it is enhancing its small business rewards scheme for customers based in the United States.

The US-based firm said in a press release issued early this week that the Budget Business Program would now allow small and mid-sized businesses to earn 50 per cent more value on transactions. The company said the move comes in the effort of providing small companies with help for the critical task of managing travel costs.

Under the enhanced scheme, Budget Business Program members will earn $3 in rental credit for each full price, completed day of rental.

Members of the Budget Business Program receive rental certificates at the end of each quarter. They are available in increments of $15 and up to seven vouchers can be used at all Budget branches throughout the US. Membership is free and is available to small companies renting cars at least five times a year spending less than $50,000 annually on car hire, according to the release.

Avis Budget Group’s chief marketing officer Jeannine Haas said in a statement that the effort was just the latest example of the firm’s commitment to strengthening business loyalty programs. She went on to say that the move would continue to allow Budget Business Program members to enjoy superb value for money on numerous types of rental vehicles.
