Europcar customers can now take advantage of the firm’s new mobile phone application.
The car hire provider announced the launch of the new software via a press release issued this week, in which officials said the software would make booking Europcar products “easier and more enjoyable than ever”. The company said the move comes as part of its strategy to meet consumers’ mobile needs.
The application is available on Apple’s iPhone via the iOS platform as well as on Android devices, whilst customers on other platforms can utilise the company’s mobile-optimised website, according to the release.
E-commerce director for Europcar Jehan de Thé said to reporters that the effort recognises consumers’ increasing desire for mobile booking. He went on to say that the launch of the product was a key element in Europcar’s growth strategy.
The application offers a simple three-step booking feature for reserving cars all Europcar locations worldwide and also boasts specially designed additional features, officials said. Among them, the ‘car finder’ feature enables users to locate where they left their rental car by taking a picture of the parked vehicle with their mobile phone. Similarly, users can locate nearby filling stations by taking a photo of their surroundings.
