Car rental firm Sixt has opened its newest branch at Seattle-Tacoma International airport.

Officials from the Germany-based firm said via an official press release that the launch would be marked by a giveaway of the company’s new Platinum Sixt Card. The cards, which are normally only provided to the firm’s frequent renters, are to be handed out to all patrons renting vehicles from the Seattle airport branch from 14 February to 14 March.

The move comes amid Sixt’s continued expansion into the US market. The company now has 10 locations in Florida, in addition to a recently opened outlet at Phoenix Sky Harbour International airport.

Rachel Porter, Branch manager for Sixt SeaTac International Airport branch, said via the press release that the firm brings more than 100 years of experience to Seattle customers. She went on to say that the organisation would continue to focus on customer service and efficiency.

Sixt officials noted in the release that customers can make use of the company’s mobile web applications, which are available for Apple’s iPhone, Blackberry and Android users.
