Budget

Budget was founded in 1958 to provide car rental options for 'budget-minded' customers in Los Angeles by Morris Mirkin with a modest fleet of just 10 cars. Having grown steadily over the years and after moving its headquarters to Chicago in 1960, the company now operates out of nearly 2,000 locations in more than 110 countries with over 200,000 cars.

The vehicles on offer range from small runabouts through bigger, sportier numbers, right up to huge family-friendly SUVs. The car manufacturer can vary from country to country, but the vehicles are invariably both modern and highly efficient.

Budget has pioneered many innovations within the industry, such as paperless booking and customer loyalty programmes. Corporate responsibility is very important at Budget, and their employees are involved in a variety of community projects.

Budget offers reliable 24-hour breakdown assistance and excellent insurance options. Rental reservations can be made by telephone, in person or online. The customer loyalty programmes, particularly for online customers, can be very rewarding. There are also great last-minute deals and constantly changing weekly and monthly offers to take advantage of.
